The village of Pettigo is partly in Country Donegal (Eire) and partly in County Fermanagh (Northern Ireland) . Border line is the bridge crossing the river Termon . Threequarters of the villagers hold allegiance to Eire , the rest salute the Union Jack. The children in the front row having a lesson from schoolmistress Miss Elizabeth Wilson are from Ulster Pettigo 16th July 1949
